Does anyone know how to convert the PCB output from a G07 monitor to a 4900?

My all-original parts Defender needs the monitor repaired. So in the mean time I bought a used 4900 monitor to get me by. But the sync inputs are different, the guy who sold me the 4900 told me they would be similar, but they are not. On the PCB the output on terminal connector is 5 and 6 for vert and horiz sync. The sync input on the 4900 is vert+, horiz + and vert - and horiz -, four wires as I count. I am sure this swap has been done before the chassis is the same and has the Williams sticker on it.

Any HELP?!!!

First off, I assume you are using a complete 4900 tube, and not just the chassis on the GO7 tube, correct?

You shouldn't have to change the Defender video connector at all. Just plug it into the 4900 on the 6-pin part of the connector, and adjust as necessary.

Now, should your video connector have the sync wires separated from the RGB wires, then connect them to the positive sync pins.

BTW - your GO7 also had + and - sync pins, just not in a straight line like the 4900...
