I have a Super Cobra control panel that is pretty nice but has some scratches and also someone scratched their name RON in it. Is there anything I can use to buff it out or touch it up? I was thinking maybe a scratch kit for a car? Anyone know what I can do? Can this be fixed up or do I need to buy a nice one?

that is already nicer than 99% of originals

I have 2 Super Cobra control panels and one has a black undercoat on the whole control panel and the other is polished aluminum underneath. They both look old but are they both original? Did they make 2 versions? They both seem silk screened onto the control panel but then I saw this other photo of a control panel overlay. So which of these is original? Is there a good way to touch-up either of these panels to fix the scratches/worn areas?

I took the worse of the two control panels and touched it up and then gave it a bunch of coats of a clear coat. Before and After Photos below. It isn't mint new but I think it looks better. I am going to get a very thin piece of plexiglass to put over it also to further protect it. Anyone ever put a sheet of plexiglass on their control panels to help protect them?

How did you fix up the lost art (eg, the arrows)?

In the before photo you can kind of see the outline of the arrows were still there so I just used those as a guide for size and shape. I didn't want to touch it up so much that the parts I couldn't fix would stand out. I only touched up the important parts and left the rest. Now I just need to find someone with a cheap wico leaf joystick. ;-)

And the final picture after all new buttons and joystick.
