This has probably been answered before so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome!

I recently purchased a Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 3 control panel overlay. Both of them are unused. Is there a company or someone on the forums that offer a service to scan the overlays and reproduce them? These control panel overlays were difficult to find and aren't as accessible compared to Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. I figure I am not the only one who likes this game and it might be helpful for someone in the future. Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys! Thank you.

Gameongrafix or Szabos arcades. Whatever you do , DON'T send it to escapepod, they produce mostly garbage with a decent piece sprinkled in from time to time. I would say thisoldgame, but there will be, most likely, a long production time. Szabos has a bit of a wait as well, but it is what it is.

I reached out to Szabos before posting here. I haven't reached out to Gameongrafix yet. That's good to know about Escapepod though.

update: Escapepod reached back out to me saying that they can reproduce the overlay. I'm waiting to hear back from others, but if Escapepod is the only one willing to do it I think I won't have too much of a choice unfortunately.

szabo and gameongrafix have done pieces for me in the past. It's up to you, but I personally wouldn't use escapepod unless there was no other option, and there are plenty. You can even send it to a couple places in the UK, reproarcade and arcadeartrepro. They both do excellent work and i would not hesitate to ship to them before sending anything to escapepod.

I used GameonGrafix for my tail gunner 2 CPOs.

They came out great.

GameGrafix got back to me and let me know that they would be able to perform the service! Most likely will be shipping it out to them.

I used to be of the same opinion on escapepod , however recently I got two overlays from them , an elevator action and a jungle king (nobody else had them). Both were excellent quality! Just as good as a current TOG .

Like I said, they sometimes get it right. If you look at the whole picture, more often that not, they have color/sizing/quality issues. They have their place in the market, and I truly hope they eventually become a reliable vendor of quality arcade art, but until then, I would only send a piece that has not been reproduced to a more reputable source so that we have a new correct piece for others to restore their games.

agreed. Just wanted to post that I had gotten a few good pieces (I have posted about the bad stuff before). Maybe they have heard the complaints and are addressing them.

Sidebar: I appreciate the fact that you're going through the effort to get these reproduced.

I got the control panel overlays back from Scott at gameongrafix. He told me that they're moving warehouses right now so production is slowed down from what it sounds like. He was able to get them scanned. I'm going to reach out to @ReproArcade over the weekend to see about getting these things reproduced. I want it to be available to the masses. I feel I'm not the only one in the fgc that cares about Tekken lol.

Can you show pics of the two control panels... i was hoping someday someone would reproduce the black and white Powered by Namco generic one they have.

I just have the Tekken 3 gold tribal coo and Tekken tag cpo. I'm curious about the cpo you're talking about. I can upload pictures later if you'd like.

Bit of a necro, but, @kayzp4ul were you able to find someone to reproduce the art? I also just purchased a Tekken 5 cabinet with janky artwork.

@Esom Unfortunately, I got busy with life and closing on my first house and then work starting back up again (teacher...) I have someone from arcadeartrepro.com that I am going to send scans over to. Hopefully they'll be able to reproduce them. I would love it if anyone had a Tekken 5 cpo that is unused and could get scanned as well. It's insane how a kit game like Tekken just doesn't really have the cpos or art in general reproduced...
