Just curious as to what causes it. Seems to be the same before AND after cap kits in my experience. Never really been able to compensate for it except by turning down the RGB color pots on the neckboard. I know it's not really a "Help" questions, but I can't really find any useful info on the subject. Thanks guys - Mike.

do you do a manual degauss after a cap kit , more and more lately , I am finding this has to be done

first I'm hearing about this. interesting. you talking with a degaussing tool or warm monitor up, shut down for 15-20 mins, and power up? (to activate the coil)

it sounds about right that you might have to tone the RGB pots down, cause I think it's not uncommon for the colors to be brighter and more vibrant post-capkit. especially if it hasn't been done in a long time or if the original caps were installed.

I noticed this on a K7000 in a Suzuka, I couldn't believe it was the same monitor. lol

i have a large degauss wand I use , I have noticed the last few times I have done caps , repairs , or even swap I have had to degauss. last 60 in one I did for loadrunner had terrible bleed , tried adjusting it out no go, went home grab my degauss and lo and behold nice well aligned colors , no bleed. wasnt the rainbow effect you have come to expect , just bleed all over hells half acre. onboard degauss coils I find, are too weak to have much effect at all
