I've been thinking about adding my consoles too my game room. What does everyone do with them? Are they forbidden in the game room becouse they are not arcade games?

Would like too hear ideas people are using with them.

I was thinking about getting an Atari Flashback and connecting it to my wall mounted LCD. I think it could be cool.

So, yeah, go for it!

never never never!!!! that's like walking into your local time out circa 1983 and seeing a 2600 hooked up in the corner!!!

was thinking for mostly Nes, Snes.

Are people using cabs for this or what? How is everyone storing all the games?

I would like too something clean and neat that does'nt look out of place in the game room.

Its your game room. if you want them there, then do it. If you listen to other people, then it wouldnt be your gameroom. ...wait maybe that means you shouldnt listen to me then? Or does it?

shit my head hurts

a friend of mine has a sega keyosk set up in his arcade with sega console ( like they had in the store) and thats really cool!

Fortunately I have a 2 story game room. So upstairs I'm going to set up my Apple IIe and eventually I'd like to get a 2600 system set up as well. Eventually I fear I'll be assimilated by the borg and I will be forced to include a new console system, but it will be against my will. :)

I have all my 70's/80's/90's consoles with my arcade machines. I only get one room and the GF only allows the Wii to be outside of my mancave. hah

*wip noise*

Im not sure what hobby I love more...arcade or console. I still use every console I have ever had...I see no reason not to combine the hobbies. Current console gaming is amazing....as is arcade collecting....

I have an Atari 2600 in my game corner. It's hooked up to a monitor sitting on a low shelf.

Most guests don't even touch it when they come over, but I probably spend more time playing Atari 2600 games than any of my arcade cabinets. I'm hoping to find a cheap NES soon.

Hell yeah. I love me some console action when the arcade games are turned on. I have my NES and PS2 hooked up. I go back and forth between some Fester's Quest and MLB 2k9!!

That is about the only situation in which a console would be acceptable in my gameroom. I still have my consoles but they are used in the family room.
