Hi, does anyone use an Ipad app for a video game collecting database? I've tried a couple and they kind of suck for older things. Icollect video Games seems to be the "best" but I'm not really happy with it. It seems to be geared more for newer games. Most older stuff isn't in the database and I don't really want to add a ton of entries and you can't easily sort it by older systems, the oldest on the pull down menu thing is Saturn. Has anyone used one that works well?

Gamestop has a new membership program called -powerup. part of the membership is it gives you an online account where you can create a database of games you have had, have currently, want, reserve, etc...

I believe it can port to your facebook page too.

I've been wanting something like this for years. Not just for games, but for movies too. I can recount numerous times I am at a store or a garage sale or whatever, I see something and have to leave it because I think I might have it already. I'm not going to hang my hat on an app however, I'm going to have to make a website for my own stuff that is easily visible on a cell phone. That's it.

Actually, through Amazon, Facebook used to have apps like this but they disappeared awhile back for some reason.

I've been planning to build myself a MySQL database for my games, but I don't want to install it on my laptop, and I don't have a desktop right now.

I have the same problem with my games. Often times, if it's cheap, I buy it anyway if it's something I know I want. I did it the other day with a Game Cube game, fortunately I didn't have it. I only pass up games I KNOW I have and don't care to have multiples of.

Yeah I saw that and it does look like it has classics, but I mean it's $30 for the pc software and $10 for the ipad app.. and does it work? Seems a bit too much to try it out. Sure, I tried a $2 ipad app that I didn't like but I'm not going to test the waters for $40. And I don't really like the whole needing the pc software to run the app thing. :/

Checking out the trial version it's not really too bad... I kinda still have my doubts though since you need the pc version to access the ipad version. I don't like that you can't make changes on the ipad, you can just sync what you're done on the pc and look at it on the ipad.

This would be neat, but not very useful for me since I have an Android phone...

The one I'm looking at does work for android.

"Check your game database and wish list on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. "

I started using this app and software this weekend, put in a few systems, it seems pretty good besides that fact the app is just a reader. It could be better but it could be worse. I spent 40 bucks on it all in the end.

That's my review :)
