I've been wanting a machine for a while, but I've noticed that a lot of them are very, very expensive. However, I mainly want EM machine, and I have two in mind.

3 Coins by Williams
Miss Annabelle by Gottlieb

How much should I expect to play for a working EM machine like the ones I listed above?

Here's a guide. Keep in mind it's just that and condition varies.

I would think you could find either one for $200-$400. A very nice machine maybe $500+.

Good luck in your search

EDIT: Also I'm not familiar with either machine and did not check production numbers. If it's low production price could reflect that.

i have owend a few ems

i guess my best for looking cool is my wizard but pricey and 2 of my favorites to play was bally circus and casino royale that were like 300 to 400 bucks if i recall.well just some thought for you

Gorgar

I know it is a matter of taste, but solid state games are much better to play. Consider a GORGAR. This was my first game, over 20 years ago, and I still play it today. First talking pin, and my all time favorie. EM' just don't do it for me.

Yeah, but there is something about the chimes, the bells, & the clacking score reels that just says pinball to me. I have two SS machines & just picked up an EM. I'm looking forward to getting it cleaned up & running as it should.

Try checking Craigslist for St. Louis. There are some EM pins on there right now. Teacher's Pet and one or two more. Someone also posts on Craigslist for Columbia/Jefferson City that fixes up EM machines. I think he is out of Moberly. I would want to check one out in person before buying it. Condition would be very important to me on an older game and I would want it to be local or not too far away to check it out in person. If you wanted to go a little newer than a EM there is a Stern Dracula also for sale around $700. I don't know much about EM machines my self, but there might be a EM guru in the St. Louis area that might have some insight on where to get those titles.

Good luck and have fun whatever you get.

There's actually 2 guys that list a lot of EM machines on CL. One guy is around the columbia area and his name is BJ, the other guy is norm kiser from moberly. Most of norm's stuff is working and reasonable, but not really shopped out.

Theres a nice old guy in High Ridge who has over 70 em pins. I can try to dig up his number, I bought a slugfest from him. Really nice guy. I also know a guy in St. Charles who does High End pin restoration. Hes a good guy as well. I think he has over 50 pins at his house. He just had a pinball party with over 100 people that went on till 4am. I can call him and see if he has any laying around he would sell. The guy in High Ridge wasnt expensive and was a good guy to go shoot the shit with. We dont really sell them but people try to sell them to us all the time.

If price is the reason you want EM pins, don't do it. I'd only do it if I really wanted the games.

Keep looking on Craigslist and be ready to pull the trigger, and you should be able to score a nice game at a great price, from any era. You never know what will come up. In my opinion the 1990s DMD games are the way to go, but not everyone agrees.
