I'm hoping to pick up a Congo shortly, and was wondering what you guys would say is a fair price for one. What's one with a non-working lower gorilla, but otherwise cosmetically decent (a good player's game) worth?

Thanks,

Collin

the past year they have really talked up that title on pinside and such, it is now a desirable title.
3 years ago I was told it was a $900 dollar pin....ha ha, I doubt it now.

I've got one and wouldn't let it go for less that 3 grand. Make sure it has the color side art and the volcano isn't too busted up. Congo is hands down one of my favorite pins of all time.

I would say 1800-2400 depending on condition. This is one that could be had for 1k or so for years until stern stepped up prices and pinside blew up a few years ago. Congo is a great game.

I have one and will not sell mine unless someone made me an awesome offer on it--had offers of 2500.00 and 2800.00 and turned both down--I have the black and white side art and was told they only made 200 units?

Congo is an all-time sleeper! Crappy movie-great pin. I think it's been long enough where people have forgotten about the movie so the pin gets more love these days.
Remember, too that many Congos have been parted out or converted. I remember BITD when operators would part out NIB Congos. What a shame because it really is a fun game. That said, I'd figure that 2800.00-3500.00 is the going price these days, condition permitting.

I have a black and white version also, nothing wrong with it, plus you don't have to worry about the cabinet being faded. Grab either version, it is a great game.

many people have not played one, or if they have it wasnt a nice fully working example. when they finally do, they are hooked. that was a huge sleeper game and the past year or so alot of people have became interested in it. its been showing up in tournaments often as well.
price pends exact condition in and out and location. people here have been right on.
its surely over 2k and condition pends the ceiling limit. ive owned mine for about 6 years or so and it ain't going anywhere unless i had a stupid offer:).
and that's in a collection with many "A" titles and new sterns. once you have it dialed in tight, its a great fast playing game.

By me on the east coast, you generally can't get this game for less than 2500 unless it's wasted. They usually come up around the 3k-3.5k range, which is pretty insane. I blame pinside, they're making more and more games overpriced and make it harder and harder to enjoy the hobby.
