So here is my situation.
I have two Congo bongo boards.
One works, but has no background music. Reseated the chips did nothing.
Second board has all sounds but the video display is all screen jarble. So I swapped the video boards thinking that should work....did nothing. Any help?

There are a few that are not so easy to fix Congo bongo might be one of them.

Hey how are your soldering and desoldering skills? What repair equipment do you have?
Do you have schematic?

Long distance repairs, is best guess advice. I have never worked on a congo bongo but that hasn't stopped me from working on PCB.

your sound board looks rather simple. Time to fire up an o scope and check for signals.

If you have no tools, I think you have basically reach a point where you need find or hire someone close to work on your game.

Perhaps you can hit up the list of people who repair boards and ask them if they can fix your board.

I have no equipment. It seems there really isn't any love for congo bongo.

congo bongo is one of the greatest games out there.

bummer, I sold a 100% working board for like $50. It'll cost close to $100 to get a repair done.
