I am attempting to rebuild a Cinematronics Condor Power Supply and one of the parts I need is an output transistor (I think this is what it would be called) that is located on the bottom of the power supply. Not being very electronic component savvy I may be calling it the wrong thing, so I would describe it as round and flat like a bottle cap with two screws on opposite ends.

The component has SDM4004 and 8052 printed on it. I have been unable to find a replacement part for this (probably because I have no idea what exactly it is). I tried searching Bob Roberts and Mouser for the SDM4004 number without success. If anyone can help me in locating a replacement one of these or an equivalent replacement, it would be greatly appreciated!

Is this the same power supply used in Dragons Lair?
If it is you are looking for a 2N6055
Bipolar Transistors NPN Pwr Darlington

Bob Roberts also has them $5.00 each

SDM4004 crosses to an NTE249.
2N6055 crosses to an NTE243.

I didn't look through the specs to see what the actual difference was.

I just use the NTE cross reference sometimes to get a quick idea if two parts will cross.
So in this case I looked up your SDM4004 and the other 2N6055 to see if they used the same NTE part number.
It's just a quick way to see if something will "drop in" no questions asked.
Not to say a 2N6055 won't work, just gives a heads up whether further specs need looked at first.

(and some parts may not even show up for NTE, so keep that in mind also)
