Somewhere I have at least one NOS piece of art for those! I thought about buying one, but my kids are too young for that kind of novelty to fly around here.

Years ago on rgvac, a collector had a bunch of those and everyone made fun of him for trying to sell them on the forum. I think he did pretty well when it was all said and done.

You are thinking of MARKLINE VENDING (THANKS,MARK). Some other old timers have already reminded/ribbed me about that debacle. I think he did make out pretty good in the end though as you said.

Probably throw one of these up on eBay and see if it gets any interest before I restore many more. I am going to do some French Ticklers next though.

I still think the things are cool. (nostalgically speaking)
Maybe it was all the cross country traveling we did when I was a kid, condom machines in every pit stop, every 7-11, truck stops, whatever.
Not a true "arcadey" memory, but same era. Just a general conversation piece for sure, I'm sure it would get a chuckle when someone goes to use the restroom.

Too great! I thought I was the only person on EARTH with one of these!!! LOL!
This one is pretty much as it once was....the way someone ripped off the the truck stop wall after it didn't dispense the condom!!.... An interesting piece non the less! NICE JOB ON THAT RESTO!! I'm thinking mine will go in my game room bathroom, next to the urinal and the hand drier!!
BTW mine has a two stamps in the metal on the front, interesting...

Just catching up on this thread now, so first, let me say that your work on these is a really cool and novel restoration to have undertaken. They all look great.

Second, I'm amazed that you said "ribbed" and "he did make out pretty good in the end" in a condom machine restoration thread and nobody here had a Beavis and Butthead moment like I just did.

How about an Instant "Kittie" machine.
The one where you put in a quarter and a little capsule comes out with a piece of paper taped to it that tells you to just place the capsule in water and watch the P... "uhm.. "Kittie" appear before your eyes....

These used to be in all the restrooms in Memphis, TN and Nashville, TN when I was growing up. They were right next to the Condom machines.

Really cute trick ... the capsule contains a small sponge Kitten. When the capsule dissolved, the sponge absorbed water and swelled up into a little cat.
