Sorry if this is a repost. Don't see these often.

" We have had this sitting in the spare room for the last 30 years or so. I don't think it works but my father took it home from where he used to work. Its made out of fiber glass and is in really nice condition. We would like the best offer"

I saw the photo earlier and now the cl post was deleted.

If anyone saved the photo could they pm it to me?

Did anyone here buy it?

Sorry Greg. I was out and about and posted this via my phone. For some reason, when I try to post an image via Tapatalk, it doesn't work.

If I could describe is simply, it just looked like a shiny silver Computer Space in a small storage area surrounded by stuff. From the picture, it looked to be in good condition.

Who knows if it sold? The seller may have just been bombarded with hungry emails and "$$$$$$$" popped up in their head. Or they just sold it to the first person to offer them $50 so they could just get rid of it. :D

I saved the pic.

Got NAVL going in to get it for shipment to New York... just kidding!

Did make offer but have not got a response. :)

it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests

Yup, you are right, it is the 4th photo on that page... of my machine!

Someone sent me the link and I saw it briefly on my phone and never saw it on a larger screen before it disappeared. I too wrote the 'seller' and received no response.

I was very curious about it since Nutting only made 1 white one and its already accounted for. :)

Time to flag the CL post... oh well.. it's already gone...

Not disputing what you said there at all. Just curious....how do you know it's the only one they made?

The founder of Atari has indicated that only one white one was made. There is web page about it. The serial number of the white one is 9003. Supposedly the first one made was 9001.

9001 and 9002 have never turned up, and they were supposedly not white.

The white one is the earliest video arcade game known to exist.

Mutiple data points, including personal one-on-one conversations with several people including Nolan Bushnell.

Besides 9003 I also have 9006 and 9008, the later two I haven't uploaded info about to ComputerSpaceFan yet. I also have the remains of several of the protos between 9001 and 9010, and other parts etc.

There is someone out there that claimed to own 2 of the first four, but I believe this to be incorrect because of things I haven't disclosed about the protos as well as photos of his supposed 9001 (which by the way showed up w/o any serial #) places it later. I have my notes somewhere, but something like in between #16 and #90. Also, there are some famous stories about the earliest CS machines which I've learned to be false.

Besides all the CS I've owned, I've seen a lot more, am getting a little familar with their development. One of these days I'll get around to posting Nutting development meeting notes about 'Project SW'... kind of interesting. Talks about what works in the game and what they are still trying to figure out.

There is another person on the VAPS site that says he also has a white one...

Thanks for reminding me of that. I've meant to delete that entry and ban the account. I emailed the bogus person previously. Note, the Kuril Islands in Russia. Google that for more info of how 'happening' a place that is. Plus look at the profile: I have a white CS, so he has one. I have a Pong in the Barrel, so he has one. I have Asteroids Deluxe #001, so he has #002. 100% bogus, like some of those soy based cheese slices. Try making a grilled cheese sandwich with one in a microwave and see what happens.

Actually you can make some decent stuff with "fake cheese". Check out Daiya. Just dont eat it raw. Just saying...
