Saw this Picture and said to myself. If I saw this in an arcade, I would drop a few coins in it.
It reminds me of an optical tool machine I worked on.

While it maybe not your taste in an arcade machine style and type, You have to admit the creator of this arcade mame machine does has talent in creating something new.

Not many guys can stick to a project for such a long time.
January 26, 2009 is his first post and he is still working on it.

Did I learn anything from that huge thread? I learn there is bondo is a spray can. I am always a great fan of talent and skill.

He (BYOAC user Ond) has some pretty helpful Youtube videos too, on how get a gloss finish on paint jobs over wood ie. arcade cabs

It's a custom retro design inspired by 60s Atomic-Age designs. Ond is really talented. Not sure why you went with such a negative thread title.

That's what it reminded me of...Computer Space meets Gumball machine....in any event, that doesn't detract from Ond's skill and craftsmanship AND the fact that many, many, will quite like the design and effort he is putting in.
 
I've seen his thread on this as he helped me track down his build on a glowing button mod. I think this looks incredible, and his craftmanship on it is very impressive.

What I wouldn't give to find a decent small optical comparator with a DRO. if you know how to use one there invaluable.
