May have posted this in the wrong section the first time:
I am thinking of installing a flat screen monitor into my Jamma cabinet so that I can go from vertical to horizontal games by swiveling the monitor (I will have to build the swivel myself unless I can find a monitor that already does so). I hate to go this route but space is at a premium. Any suggestions as to what brand of monitor I should go for? Also will one of the VGA to CGA boards be all I need for the change over? Just trying to get all the facts before I jump into the project. Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, didn't know that there would be an impact on the picture. I got the idea from the e-bay listings for boards since they are often running them on what looks like a flat screen tv or monitor. That's something I definatley want to take into account. I am debating on that project (the computer monitor) or giving up a little more space and getting a cheap jamma cabinet to create a multi cabinet. The catch is there are very few available cabinets in my area.

If you want to use a monitor and rotate it, then use one designed like this from the manufacturer. They automatically adjust orientation or it can forced by the push of a button. Why reinvent the wheel. Yes, they make these in both CRT and LCD.

Yeah, LCDs don't look right for arcade games. They're good for home PCs, and are better for the eyes, but look horribly unrealistic in a classic 80's machine...
