OK, never even thought of this question but was asked today. Lets say I am building a Mame (sorry...Im not) how do you turn on the monitor if the power button is on the front of the screen? Let's say you plug in the machine and have a power switch mounted on the back, do you have to be able to reach into the machine and push the button on the front of the screen, or is there a way to make it come on with the system. I know you can get monitors to do it, but I know that I have to push a button on all of mine to power the monitor up.
Just a question.

Older monitors have a push button that will physically stay in the on position whether it is turned off or on. Just wire it to the game's main switch in the back.

If you are talking new LCD, then if you have it on and unplug the monitor and plug it back in, it will remember that it was on and turn it back on. Just wire the power to the game's main switch in the back again.
