Computer Monitor (CRT) work with PCBS?

I had set up matshushuita monitor in karate champ and i was not sure where to plug since.. there is molex (left side showing 5 color) that s from karate champ pcb..

now i can see the wires coming out... .. one on the top (white and blue)

on the bottom.. there is anohter white and blue.. plus RGB wires.

how to combite them? i looked where bottom white blue RGB came from.. it comes same area.. 5 pin out so im not sure which white or blue is ground?? obviously white is sync.. so should i use blue attach to black???

now what s top blue and white s for?

little help would be appreciate thanks

You need to follow the two position connectors (white/blue) back to where they originate. Is this picture taken from inside the cabinet? It looks like this is a cocktail cab?

The five position connector will attach to the monitor circuit board. The only other wires the monitor will need will be a power connector and a ground.

here is the picture.. first picture.. monitor has the plug ( plan to plug in karate champ power supply).. has white blue coming from the black rope around the monitor..

2nd picture.. RGB wtih white and blue.. i tried to find where it hits.. it goes under the chassis..

i have to remove chassis to find where it goes.. so i rather ask see if anyone knows.

thanks in advance

I really need to see the monitor chassis (circuit boards). I have never seen a Matsushitsa with a dedicated power cord. I have also never seen a monitor with the dedicated two prong power cord that was not supposed to be operated on 100vac instead of the US standard 120vac. Plugging this monitor into the wrong power source can damage the monitor.

Can you get some close up pictures of the monitor circuit boards? I think you have a Japanese monitor that was used extensively in Sega cocktail cabinets instead of a Matsushitsa.

The 5 wire connector is the normal output of a PCB that uses a Standard Resolution monitor.

Red
Green
Blue
Black - ground
White - sync signal

A normal arcade monitor (standard res) will be able to use those signals to make a picture. A VGA or EGA monitor won't work.

As Ken says, some older computer monitors are Standard Res. (a.k.a. CGA) and will work to display the game. Most of those older computer monitors are used for testing as they are very small.

Good luck.
