Apologies if this is out there somewhere, searching didn't turn it up.

Is there a comprehensive list of *all* arcade games that used battery backup on PCBs? Nintendo, MCRII, etc., just an easy to skim list by game title for quick reference?

It's easier to find ones that didn't. Just about every game made today has one on the motherboard, and I see them on games that go way back....

If it saves high scores, there is probably a battery somewhere on it. Most games from the early 80's on save scores.

All the dead and corroded ones :) There - done!
That's pretty much been my experience. :)

Maybe in lieu of a list, there's a general battery checklist by manufacturer that describes what to look for and on which boards? A quick reference sheet for people new to the hobby?

Most of the batteries are obvious and easy to locate and remove or swap out (Williams, Nintendo...). But some are less obvious, like the MCRII with the battery soldered to the board. And some games save the scores but don't use batteries like Millipede.
