I spent considerable time putting this one together, so hopefully you find something new and interesting about this classic:

For me, one of the neat discoveries I made during my research was the original design for Donkey Kong - Popeye's Beer Barrel Attack Game! I never understood why a construction site would have so many barrels... until now :)

Once upon a time, nails and rivets were delivered in wooden barrels. Sometimes packed in oil. Actually oil was shipped in barrels.
And cement and paint too. All were useful materials at the job site.

Also beer, pickles, pork, and the occasional officer who died at sea and was pickled for the voyage home.....shipped in barrels.
And of course bourbon must be in an oaken barrel or baby Jesus cries.

I like the Popeye Beer Barrel attack angle. That's awesome!
