I am wiring up a JAMMA cab and am testing the wiring/sync before I mount everything.

I have a quick question.

Is JAMMA composite?

I know for composite sync -
Red-Red
Green-Green
Blue-Blue
Black-Ground
Yellow-????
White-sync

I am getting a picture. It is not rolling, it is "off color". The white is not really there. Making me believe it may be a sync issue.

If this is a sync issue, Where on the harness is the Vertical/ H/C?

I am using a AS multi to test.

If its not rolling, that means that its locked in to the horiz & vertical sync....

Color, on the other hand is completely separate, and is not a sync issue.

You can have a monitor that is out of adustment with purity, color balance or color tracking. All of these adjustments can be found in most any WG manual.

After looking at it a little closer, I think it may be the B+ settings. This is a Tri-Res monitor, that of course, didn't come with a manual.

If I recall correctly, the B+ needs to be set. I do know the following

CGA (15k) - 65v
EGA (24k) - 95v
VGA (31k) - 115v

Anyone know what the AS multi should run at?

You're absolutely correct. It is not rolling, sync is set fine.

Post above is a new question.

It's hard to answer this question when we don't know WHICH tri-res monitor you are using.

Still, show us a picture. Usually, if the white isn't white enough, you need to adjust your colors and your brightness/contrast....

Sorry, forgot to put that in.... It is a TriRes from Arcade Shop. BL19C90T is the model

Here are some pics.

I put in a 60/1...perfect picture. I put in the ArcadeShop Multi, I get these pics.

Switcher is set at 5.18

i would lower the +5.18 to +5.08 or even +5.2. i put my multi-meter red lead on the PCB and adjust it with the red lead there. that way i know all the voltage drops are adjusted out and the PCB is getting the correct voltage after all the connections/wire etc. i think the multi boards say they want +5V on the board but i figure 2 tenths of a volt wont hurt it.

I retested the voltage once I realized it was a bad video ground. Still not sure why the 60/1 ran fine but the AS multi didn't...

Rest assured, it is now purring at a cool 5.01.....because it can. ;)
