I've got a Jamma cabinet hooked up to an ArcadeSD. The joystick sometimes won't register correctly when going to the right. I am inclined to just reseat the connectors or maybe clean them with steel wool.
Is this a good idea or might anyone have a better suggestion?
Thanks!

Don't use steel wool. I dont know where the connectors are, but you probably don't want small metal fibers in most areas of a cabinet.

What type of joystick is it? Micro switch = replace the bad switch. Leaf = clean with a business card/adjust. The problem could also be wiring or connectors.

It's a microswitch. I am going to reseat the connectors before replacing anything. Thanks for the advice!

the switch is worn out. you will need to replace it.

get Cherry switches from Paradise Arcade.
