Went by the storage room today. I just had to bring it back to enjoy some nostalgia for the weekend. I love my C=64. :)

For those that remember... I hope you enjoy the pics.

Fast Hackem Plus!

Epyx Summer Games and Winter games were awesome. M.U.L.E, Mail Order Monsters!

I remember the tape drive and waiting 15 minutes to load a game!

Thanks for the memories!

I love this system. I even imported a couple of those C64 TV games joysticks from Germany a few months back so I can hack them into a C64 box with a SD card slot (yes, they also make SD card drive boards now that you can use with the TV joystick or classic hardware). :D

Whatttt? Do you have a link or more info about this? I haven't been into Commodore stuff in a long, long time, but when I saw the OP's pic of the Zork opening screen it brought back some sweet memories. I have a 128D in my attic somewhere that I'll have to dig out now...

And does anyone else in the known universe remember Greg Pfountz and his miraculous Color 64 BBS software?? I wasted a couple years of my youth operating the "Market Place BBS" on my C=64. I had 4 phone lines coming into my little apartment operating on my Commodore computer. Commodore hackers from around the country calling in to download the latest games. I had a hard drive interfaced with the Commodore. The sectors of the hard drive formatted out into lots of little 1541 disc drives. Oh those were the days....

My nostalgia weekend is almost over....

Wow, cool! Great screenshots.

I loved my C64 + 1541 when I had one. Paradroid, Commando, Bubble Bobble, International Karate, Fist II and Elite were my favourites. I even had the matching Commodore monitor for it.

Still remember the day I sold it to get an Amiga.

Here is a link to a site with a lot of details:

I imported the German version because it has flash ROM which allows you to properly hack it with a new BIOS. Was a PITA, too, had to set up an account with a forwarding service to use Amazon.de. :/

As for the SD card interface it is called SD2IEC. You can buy the boards here, they also have daughter cards which are more friendly for using a real C64 with the interface:

(and looks like they are out of stock currently... pretty sure another mfg makes them though)

Glad to see you enjoying the C64, but that picture looks terrible. Get yourself an S-Video cable if your machine has an 8 pin video port and your TV supports it. Otherwise a composite cable would still provide a much better result than RF.

Slide that Fast Hack'em III floppy disk out of that jacket pocket when your friend goes to refill his glass of Tang, and copy his prized game in seconds! Don't forget to use that hole punch and make your disk double-sided. ;)

I've got 20 to 30 Commodore games and not a single match. Damn computer thingy with approximately 50,000 games
