When turning on the monitor, the power LED and high voltage comes on for two seconds but then the monitor goes into shutdown.
I did a cap kit on it, before that it was working (albeit with bad picture). It is a possibility of course, that I made a mistake but I triple checked the caps for their correct orientation. I think I got the values right too. Could a wrong value result in shut down? What else could be the reason?

Sounds like High voltage shut down, have you checked the voltage of the B+ output. I think it should be around 108v, but I don't know for sure as I don't have this monitor.

If you can't get an answer here, drop in at A1K.org and register there if you aren't already. Amiga wizards reside in Germany...

I botched a working 4600 cap kit somehow, maybe before I totally give up on it, I should give it another look. I always double check before power up, but at least now I know I'm not the only guy that takes something that works and breaks it, lol
