I just bought a Commando and Street Fighter 2.
The commando screen just turns gray when you turn on the machine, no coin up, no sounds or anything..
The monitor works fine because I plugged my SF II into the monitor and the pic came up fine, I think the board might just be dead because I tried putting the power unit and everything out of street fighter...still a no go.. pretty much diddnt change at all.

what should I do about it?

if the board is dead thats fine, just wanna know if I should get a new one or not..

Maybe break down exactly what you have tried a little better.

Do you have 2 Cabinets or 2 Boards w/ 1 cabinet?

Commando isn't jamma so I am trying to figure out how you even plugged SFII into a Commando cabinet and have it load up.

DO they make a Commando to Jamma adapter that might be installed in the cabinet?

Yes, Commando is NOT JAMMA, you need an adaptor to play it (Capcom Classic Adaptor), I believe Bob Roberts sells these.

If you have plugged the Commando straight into the JAMMA cab without adaptor it is very likely you have damaged the Commando PCB.

i thought it was a monitor problem first. So I put Commando and SF back to back and hooked the monitor from commando up to street fighter and it worked fine.
So I figured the power supply might be having issues because I was getting weird readings out of it, but the one from street fighter diddnt help anything either..
I'm pretty sure the board for commando is fried..
