Probably not worth it, but thought I would check since it would be pretty straight forward.
Any demand for this or is Commando not that great/popular of a game? (I loved it as a kid).
Kit would save the high score table and have free play / coin drop in attract mode

Two things to note
1. The z80 is on the bottom of the board stack, larger pcb sperators may need to be added
2. On some Commando pcb's the z80 is soldered in

Any comments on interest for this kit or if you z80 is socketed or not would be useful

I'm interested in this, though it seems most people here don't have a Commando.
I think it's a great classic game, and I already know you do as well.

When I get a chance at home this weekend, I'll check on my Z80. It doesn't really matter if it's soldered in though. It's not hard to chop it out and get a socket in there with a new CPU.

Agreed on all counts... if 5 people wanted it and would commit to buy it then I would do it. If not then no harm... it was worth asking

Lady bug is basically done... just need to see when they can be built and shipped.

two down... if there are three more who want it then I will make it happen

I have two Commando's right now so I am probably in for one kit. I am trying to figure out if my second Commando is some type of knock off because the pinout is different and the boards are not stamped with Capcom but it plays exactly the same.

I find this game to be extremely difficult but I still like it and it would be nice to keep record of my highest (low) scores...

Anyone have a spare custom chip for commando that is right above the z80. I have a boardset missing that. Would prefer the custom chip and not the replacement board with tha PAL chip (not sure if this was just on bootleg boards).

If you have a spare let me know what you want for it

Please count me in for one Im a definite! Commando rocks and this would greatly enhance it. Haven't had time to install your awesome moon patrol kit, but I've read it rocks.

Thanks,
Tom

Looks like there is enough interest to investigate further. I will look at it in a day or so and post what I find.

Not alot, I have not spent a lot of time on it yet.
I would like to get my board up and running first but still trying to find the part listed in the post above. I might just have to buy a new board.

I would be interested as well. New to this whole arcade game thing. Would it be hard to install?
