A good friend of mine owns 3 comic book stores in the general area. We were talking over poker on Friday night and he mentioned that he was thinking of putting a couple of games in each store. Appearantly he has an infestation of Magic geeks who spend hours loitering in the shops playing Magic and BS-ing. He asked me to check in on some games/costs for him. So......

Gimme some comic book themed games or games you think would go well in a comic book store. If you have a ballpark cost throw it in there as well. I was thinking:

X-Men (4 or 6 player) -

Captain America vs.

Marvel vs. Capcom

Gauntlet

For starters.... your thoughts?

Johnny Nero Action Hero - a 'shooter' type game.

Technically, Johnny Nero Action Hero is a comic book character and there is a comic book by a similar name - just "Johnny Nero". Don't know that they are related directly though the story lines seem similar. The Johnny Nero comic appears to be an Indian comic published by a British company.

Superman, too.

I would imagine that any strong character based games are great.
Capcom did loads of good ones for these. Multiplayer and Coop games would first come to mind. Fighting games have loads of Cross over.

Did anyone mention TMNT?

While these technically aren't "comic book" games, I would suggest a game that uses rotary joysticks such as Time Soldiers, Heavy Barrel, or Ikari Warriors. They're unique and a blast to play with a friend.

Plus, they aren't very expensive.

If he wants to blow all his budget, get a Justice League: Hero's United

Just any multi-game system would do really well.

The Neo Geo with a multi-game cart would be awesome.

I guess I didn't think of Rampage earlier.

GI Joe
