On my local craigslist, I just saw this (http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/for/3117338854.html)

Really guy? You think a Jaks TV controller crammed into a woodshop project with a little TV is worth $350? I think perhaps you need a clue...

(For reference, the Controller is about $20 - http://www.kmart.com/tv-games-jakks-pacific-tv-games-video-game/p-004W549427110002P?prdNo=9)

mini arcade - $350 (ne philly)
mini arcade just needs paint and decals
the one with out paint is for sale

Some old aunt will think it's too cute and pay full price for it and then won't be able to get her husband off his butt to paint it so she'll hire the guy at the Sherwin Williams to do so after hours for another $100 and then she'll give it to her 7 year-old nephew and he'll think it's awesome for a couple of months and then he'll either leave it in the back of his closet or take it apart and incidentally break it and either way it will ultimately end up at Goodwill where someone will eventually give 50 cents for it for the wiring. No one will be happy (because no one ever is [except for WHEN he's laughing]) but all parties involved will be pleased.

Free enterprise is good for two reasons:
1) Whether or not you ever actually do anything about it, it's always good while you're at work (and/or tired after) to realize that you COULD do something easier for more money if you'd ever just get to it;

2) Trading money for goods and services stimulates the brain in a fashion very similar to sex (and so, again, though no one is ever happy [unless he's laughing], buying and selling gets us as close to happiness as does anything else).
