Can't wait to get this game. I almost bought a PS3 just so I could play Demons Soul. Its about time they started making games for Old School Hardcore Gamers. Loved it when Ninga Gaiden came out for the Xbox. Dark Souls can't get here fast enough. :D

Like I said, there are too few games out there for the Hardcore Gamer. Most are dumbed down for the casual gamer of today. Damn shame. Dead Rising 1 wasn't too bad, damn shame they had to dumb down the second one because people were crying the first one was too hard.

Man, we must have all casual gamers on this forum. I love the fact this game is going to be old school hard, just like the Ninja Gaiden games. They are making way too many games to appeal to the casual gamer that wants their hand held through the whole game. WHERES THE LOVE PEOPLE?? :D

I don't have time for the 100 hour ultra hardcore RPGs anymore (or I would have picked up Etrian's Odyssey III).

If you want true old school hard, get Super Meat Boy. Not only is it hard (if you want to perfect the game, especially), but it also plays like old school games.

Like osver said, I don't have time for these types of games anymore :( I'd probably love it but don't even want to temp myself, so I'll just ignore it.

I'm so glad they started making the Mega Man games again and weren't tempted to tone them down a bit for the casual gamer. I love games that get you to the brink of getting pissed but not because of them being cheap, but more of your own fault. Makes you a better player. I loved that about the first boss in Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox. He would hand you your ass if you didn't know what you were doing. But once you figured out how to beat him, you could take him out without ever being touched.

I have two kids and will find time to beat this! Famitsu review gave it a 9.5 takes about 60 hours to play through. What version are you guys getting Im thinking PS3 here but would like to play with some other peeps.

360 for me. Nothing against the PS3, but when PS2 came out, I only bought a total of 6 games for that compared to my huge collection of Original Xbox games. Plus Xbox Live is just much better, IMO. I have a ton of friends getting Dark Souls, so it should be fun.

I'd guess there would be more PS3 people, just because the first game (Demons Souls) was only on PS3...

Yea, I figure I wont have to worry about the pros playing this on Xbox since they will all most likely be playing it on the PS3. I'm just wondering when you call on a player to help you, can you pick who you want or is it random?

Demon's Souls was the best game I have ever played, I spent so many nights on that game :)
I even placed at Number 2 in ranking for North America....haha

And Dark Souls looks even better.........

http://www.justpushstart.com/2011/0...360-version-heavily-compressed-onto-one-disc/ After reading this Im going PS3 and urge others to as well so we can battle some bosses together.

Now you would think on a forum site about Arcade Machines, graphics and sound wouldn't be that big of a deal. Most of the games and PCBS I have are from the 80's and I play them more then I do my consoles. Graphics and sound mean nothing to me, game play is where its at. Thats why I find myself playing more games on Xbox Live Arcade than actual games for the system.

Graphics aren't everything but in some games it really adds to the immersion. Seeing as how I have both consoles I don't see why I should short change myself. I do love me some arcade games and can still enjoy classic console games.

Damn you klov! There are already 5 games in my must buy list before xmas, and now I'm wanting to get this one as well. Not to mention I just bought dead island, and I'm not 100% done with the last nfs yet!

Called Walmart and they do indeed have it already looks like midnight it is.
