i got a wells gardner 25" with a 7000 series board....i recapped it and now the screen has vertical collapse....(a thin horizontal line in the middle of the screen).....i checked all the joints and the caps are all in +,- correctly......any ideas?

it may be IC3 is bad.

also check your vertical hold pot. it may be broken.
they can break pretty easy and you don't notice it when it happens.

And resolder the yoke connector... It's very common for them to develop cold solder joints, which may have been worsened or broken by the act of unplugging/plugging in the yoke when you took the monitor apart.

well checked the pots which are on a remote board.....resoldered the yolk connectors....resoldered all the caps i replaced and still just a thin green horizontal line.....

check D13 i think thats the one. and see if its good.
there are 2-3 diodes along the big heat synk by the fly that are hard to see check all of them.
