Does anyone take these on and fix them? How's about an Arkanoid Vaus controller for the NES? If you repair these in your spare time or know of someone who does, LMK. I need some work done and I don't have time to mess with them myself.

It's easy. It's almost always the same 2-3 things that need doing. Clean out the side buttons so they move freely. Spray some contact cleaner into the metal contacts for the joystick. Wipe off the keypad. Maybe tighten up the surprisingly cheap quick disconnects on the PCB end of the cord. That's it.

There's a member over on the Atari Age forum that refurbs the CV controllers - he can also put a ball top on them.

Yurkie, is his name. I had my ColecoVision A/V modded and my controllers done by him. To be honest, my experience was less than optimal, shall we say. But everyone on that forum swears by his work. The controllers with the ball tops are really nice and work great. He now does cord straightening too.

Tell him SHaMROCK 73 recomended him, he'll be shocked!!! LOL
