Not sure where to put this so I'll stat here. Does anyone like and/or collect the old Coleco tabletop arcade games? I have three of them and they all could use some restoration TLC. What I want to know is, has anyone ever seen reproduction side art, CPO art, or top art for these? Who could make them?

I have a Pac-Man and a DK (which is black for whatever reason). I wouldnt mind having a few more, if I could only stop sinking money into my "real" arcade games.

i have a couple, with the battery door and all stickers intact they are worth upwards of $25, missing stickers or battery door significantly less. the stickers show wear on every one of them i have ever seen, so dont worry about that affecting value.

huh, its been a couple years since i checked, but i just did an ebay completed items search, and it seems even without the battery cover and pretty beat these go for $20-30 now, and $40-60 in better condition. still some good deals out there though...

I have a bunch of these that I have had since I was a kid... I need to dig them out! Not interested in selling any of them, but I am interested in what they may be worth.. does anyone have a quick link to a price guide or go-by? I quickly searched that site and couldn't find one in my quick search..

I think my favorite non-sports handheld was the galaxian, you could play the aliens which was way cool back then...

Curious as to why the battery cover on many of these Coleco game is always missing?

I don't own one, but it seems may for sale do not have the cover any more. I know they were battery hogs, but???

It's very common for batt. covers to go missing on all sorts of old handheld games.

Sometimes there'll be models with particularly flimsy covers too, and those will be mssing their batt. doors more than others. Dunno if that's the case here, but I don't remember them as being weak.

So true. I have a Q*bert with batt. cover intact, in original box w/ instruction manual. It's mine from when I was a kid. I indeed would be curious as to its worth.

I found a DK and DK Jr at a garage sale years ago when I was probably 10 or 11. My dad was able to take them apart and fix a loose connection of some kind with them and they worked. Unfortunately they were lost in a move a few years later. :( Right now I have a Frogger sitting on my desk at work, but it is the newer re-released one from a few years ago....still fun to play and I have a mini competition with people at work for the high score. :)

I have that Frogger as well. I'd love to get an original. It's the one with the mirror image on it, right?

That's a great game - one of the better ones they made. Prices are all over the place; lots of those on eBay.

Here's my collection. Amongst all of the Tiger Wheel of Fortune Slots handhelds, you'll see a couple of versions of big-name arcade games:

@pookdolie -- A Mr. Do handheld?! Man, I'd love to see that one in action!

@crowbarz -- Impressive to say the least! Let me know what you want to part with. I may be interested in some of them.

It's without question one of the best arcade-to-handheld translations. Pretty much all the original game elements are there, EXTRA man to spell out, dropping "apples" on monsters - even the diamond which, like the arcade version, only appears every once in awhile.

And the sounds are just like the arcade. It even plays the same high score table song if you get the high score.

Okay, now you have me jonesin' to get one! Dammit! :p
