Does keeping games in a cold garage damage components?
Can they be turned on at any temperature?
Thanks

Unless it gets below freezing in your garage, just storing them is no problem. Turning them on is another story. Anywhere above freezing is considered ok but it certainly is not "harmless". Solder joints, traces and even chips can crack if you turn on your game and let them warm up in the cold.
We have had lows in the negatives this week, and all my games and pinball is in the garage. None of it has been turned on in the past 2 months though. Can I be doing damage?
Yeah it's popped up alot, I agree, but every time that it does some additional good info always seems to come out of it. One of the last times that it came up was a time when Friz insulated his garage, and provided info on what he was doing. That post prompted me to do the same with mine, and I'm happy to say that even with the blizzard we're having here in MD today, my garage hasn't dropped below 50 thanks to Friz's suggestion. And that's where my games are so, things have worked out well with this.does anybody search the forums - this has been discussed like 100 times
