So my arcade is in my basement, along with my workshop and computer. When winter rolls around here in Upstate NY it gets pretty cold down in my basement. While the furnace can heat the basement, I am really cheap and keep it pretty cold. I wear a nice warm hoodie, and had some slippers, but they have seen better days.

Anyway, my awesome wife knitted me some new slippers out of wool, and man are then warm!

They looked like this before she shrunk (felted) them in the washing machine:

Here they are finished:

My gf is a big knitter too. No slippers yet though...

Well I can't imagine it gets as cold in Kansas. Do they even have basements in Kansas? I see it is 72 degrees there with now, Looking a my basement thermometer it is 56 degrees, and it is 36 degrees outside. burrrr

Edit: So what does she knit?

It definitely gets below zero in the winter time. I don't have a basement, but they're pretty common.

She knits all kinds of stuff. Sweaters, hats, mittens, she did knit some slippers for herself now that I think about it.

I don't know about everyone else, nbut I was fully expecting to see some arcade character embroidered into these... :(

Now your feet look like pumpkins.

LOL that is my fault! I picked the colors. I love them, but you can tell by my sneakers I like bright colors. :D

I took over the room that used to be our office. :p

Yah, nobody really needs and office.

Well if you want a pair I can talk to my wife, but they would have to come after the project I have her working on now. And yes they are super toasty, I am very happy! Thanks!
