So I finally got around to adjusting my machine (westinghouse WC102MD) to vend cans and while adjusting it busted off a few screw heads. They were old and should have just went and grabbed some new ones but didnt. So now Ill have to fix that...no big deal. So I got it loaded up in 4 of the 6 racks....about 2 cases of drinks....and plugged her in. Within minutes it was getting cool. I kept checking on it from time to time and drinks were getting nice and cold. Went out with some friends last night came home and checked again. Cans exploded everywhere!!!!!! Previous owner said everything was working fine. I guess that was a lie. ;) Thermostat must be out and I need to buy a new one. The name on it is Cutler-Hammer model # 9531N16. I cant seem to find anything on the net about it. Is this one from Funtronics a direct replacement.

If it is, will this be the best place to get it or would there be a local chain that I could go and just pick one up?

Thanx

I have a coke reach in cooler (I know its not the same but same premise) that needed a new t-stat so i used one out of a GE fridge,I had to retro fit it a little but its working great. I dont know if you have access to any old refridgerators but it could save you some money, worked for me.

I might look into that if all else fails but i figure if i have to I can just order this one from funtronics. Im almost 100% positive this is what i need. Just hoping to maybe find one local but just not sure where to go.....or if i can.

there a place here in houston called first choice, not sure of there website as i just order thru my rep but at least its in tx and might be worth a look, good luck.

You need to know if its a contact type or air type. Contact type is clamped to the refrigeration lines and the air type has the tip hanging in the air above the evaporator. Funtronics does sell both. You can possibly pick them up also from Grainger

Mine just has to be the air type cause it cant have an end on it like the clamp style. Mine just ends up running thru a small tube that is mounted in there so its not just flopping around and if it had an end on it then it wouldnt fit in that tube. Like I said im almost 100% positive the one I linked to is the right one. Grainger was one of my first thoughts too but searched their website and they had nothing. Would have been nice cause I have an account with them here at work. Ill probably search around for a day or so and if I dont come up with something close then Ill just order it from funtronics.
