Hehe.. "John's Arcade"
You mean, your arcade?
Coin-ups are rad.. Support Adam and buy them.. Dude is pretty rockin! Spent hours with him yesterday while he cleaned up my screwed up Missile Command pcb.. Great local resource and all around cool cat.
But, yes, support Adam and buy these coin-ups! They seriously rock. What an awesome hardware solution to a software problem. My Discs of Tron now has Freeplay! And, for $20 shipped, you cannot go wrong!
too bad this won't work with 4p games as my X-men conversion is actually wired with start buttons(on pin 10)
I believe there's a version of X-Men that has a freeplay mode. It's the rev that supports one common coin mech.
which my 4P board doesn't have
Got a couple of these, love em. Would it be possible to add an additional mode to then to prevent a static screen on popular mulitgames?
For example, on the 96in1 Pac-man:
1. Machine boot
2. After [predetermined time] press 2P button [desired times] to go through menu screens
3. After [predetermined] time, 1P button pressed
4. Viola! Game is in Attract mode!
Just looking to boot to regular Pac-Man, as the 96in1 menu screen can always be easily accessed when ready to play. Have a programmer handy if testing is needed.
Something like this would make an already awesome gadget even better.
Thought the 96 in 1 had a screensaver built in to avoid static screen.
Possibly. Would prefer booting into a single game if possible.
Yeah. I know Mike has had that request many times over the years. Seems like such an easy thing to do, but I'm no programmer and would not assume anything.
