Coinopwarehouse Sale

It sucks that they are such a long way out for me to justify some of these. I'd take that PP in a heartbeat.

They look pretty beat up. A couple were in fires.

I agree that some look pretty rough. However, many look like decent candidates for restoration or donors to complete projects needing parts. There are a couple Dynamo cabs in there that I wouldn't mind stuffing in the barn for future use.

Let's face it....a $150 doesn't go very far in the search for excellent condition, popular cabinets. I wish it did!

He's posting ~50 games that look like they came out of an arcade that closed shortly after opening. Some crazy high prices though, not KLOV prices!

$2450, I think, for a Robotron.......

Seems a bit excessive, for sure. I think Lloyd usually finds that sweet spot for his prices...low enough to look intererting, but JUST a bit more than I'm willing to pay. ;)

funny part is that they are selling..

People here have been ripping Lloyd's prices for quite a while. I'd suggest if he's selling them so quick and easily, it is folks here who may be confused about prices. In fact, his prices are probably too low if they sell as fast as they do.

Yeah, 99% of his business goes overseas. Exchange rate makes a few buyers getting a shipping container and having the games set over worth it.

Where did you come up with that statistic?

Every time I'm there (including last week end), I see people there with trucks buying games. Certainly he does ship a lot of games overseas (and domestically BTW), but just making up numbers like that in order to justify what you think is a reasonable price doesn't seem appropriate.

Depends on what you're looking for, and the mood of the employees. There are no 'set' prices. I walked in there (their new warehouse) a few months ago, wanting to add a changer to my collection. The one employee (don't even know his name) told me to take 'this one'. I asked how much, he said, 'nothing'. So, i got a changer - that mostly worked - for free.

Just based off previous visits. They're not there every Saturday, so i always sgo during the week, and at their new warehouse, there has always been at LEAST one, if not more sea shipping containers that they were loading crap up into. :D And whenever I'm there, I have yet to see another local guy there.

Which I would actually love to do - get someone else's opinion on some of the crap there. :D

I believe ALOT of his prices are asking prices. NOT what he actually sells them for.

I'd be a VERY rich man if I could get the prices he is getting...and I've sold alot of the same stuff.

I also believe selling arcade games on FB is like selling on eBay. People who don't know better (aka KLOVer's) pay the going rate. Almost everything is inflated, especially the classics. Not saying that we are the price guide for the entire arcade industry, but no one (outside some Craigslist/Offer Up/LetGo deals) offers games at prices like we do here. And those deals I am referring to are usually done by someone who has no idea what they have and just wants to unload the garbage. Basically, someone like my mom.

An item is worth what someone pays. Lloyds stuff sells in mere minutes sometimes I'm told... so there you go. Having a built in clientele that you'll ship to obviously pays off for him.

Most KLOVers are in denial on current prices. Unless they are selling something then full on retail plus is more than acceptable...

I have been collecting for over 20 plus years and many on here know what kind of collection I have...Lloyd does sell a lot of stuff higher than so called Klovers look for...but if you frequent his Facebook page you will find that there are deals on occasion...the problem is you never know when and at what time he will post..:D I have plucked some really good deals from him...and if you fortunate enough to be a repeat buyer and his guys hit your area..they on occasion deliver the stuff for free so you save on the sales tax and cost for delivery.....as long as you can wait a month or more and are patient..that is great deal

The recent find that he had with the games that had been in storage since 1984-1985..were games in extremely rare condition..something Lloyd isn't always known for..expect this to go high...I bought three..I have an eye for those rare quality games and know that if I were to sell them I'd get two times as much to the right buyer...so don't always judge a book by its cover..how many original Moon Patrol are in near mint condition...zero..maybe one or two hiding somewhere..so expect high prices..as far as the overseas..you can cry all you want but those overseas buyers have the cash and want to purchase these games because they can't get them over there..so they smartly go in on large containers..fill them to the max..and save a ton on shipping by going in together with groups to get what they want..pretty smart on their end.

Lloyd is no dummy..you market to where the buyers are..whether it be US...Overseas..wherever..I can't blame him...in fact the Facebook method currently is really great method for his business..no overhead...no fees...no bullshit..no cost to advertise...I'm surprised Facebook isn't charging yet to sell>>>LOL

I agree with this, until Facebook changes their policy & does charge businesses. Then Lloyd won't be making a killing selling Overseas.

I have picked up 15-20 games from him over the last 15 years. I still have my first pick-up of a baby-pac. Much of his customer base is overseas, which allows him to sell for a premium. With that said, I have picked up a few good deals over the years as well. It also helps that my tastes in games is not towards the same mainstream hyped titles most people are looking for. I would not use Lloyd as a price index, but congrats to him that he can find buyers and sources of games as quickly as he does.
