Hey there folks. My housecade, where us rejects (myself, @aapljack, and @Brick Top) usually record our shows, was burglarized on Sunday, February 2nd. All the games and truly rare/valuable stuff is fine, but our entire recording setup was stolen. We're down a mixer with USB output, 4x microphones, 4x mic stands, 4x XLR cables, and 4x headphones.
We do this show because we love the games and enjoy talking about them, and have never made money off it in the nearly ten years it's been around. We have no sponsors, no ads, and like it that way. We outsource almost nothing: @Brick Top edited the show in the early days, and donated the recording setup. @aapljack designed the logo, maintains the website, and edits the show. I shoot, edit, and post the gameplay video. We all collaborate on (or rotate duties between) show notes, ideas, and getting guests (when we have them on). Since launching our Ko-Fi a few years back, donations have covered the cost to host the site (~$140/year), which we appreciate tremendously, as it means the show runs close to net-zero; we aren't making money, but don't pay out of pocket to run it anymore.
The loss of this equipment is a major blow for a zero-budget show built on spare parts and passion. If you've enjoyed listening to us over the last 100+ episodes and have a few bucks to spare, we'd appreciate it immensely if you could donate to our Ko-Fi to defray the cost of replacing the stolen equipment. We still love the games and have a blast doing the show, and have no plans to hang it up any time soon.
We'd love to raise $500. This won't cover all the cost of new equipment, but would get us to the point where it's reasonable to pay the rest ourselves. If you've got a few bucks to kick our way, you can do that at our Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/coinrejects
