Anyone know the manufacturer/model of the Breathalyzer pictured. If so do you know if there is a manual or if parts are available?

Hah... If the "owners of the establishment" were so concerned about people driving drunk, wouldn't they provide the machine as a free service?

Yeah, also seems like a huge lawsuit waiting to happen if the machine reads wrong. I would think a sticker stating for amusement only or some such would be more appropriate.

So, no-one is familiar with this machine? My gewgul-foo so far is weak.

Bump.
Anyone? I'm looking at one that is non-working but definitely won't get it if I can't source parts.

Parts are out there. I just replaced the sensor in mine a few months ago.

Do a search in this area. I typed the manual to mine into a message in here.

Auction ended on it and I did not bid.
Looking at a local "Alcohol Alert" model. Says it is brand new, but it seems the company that made them is out of business now. I worry about parts for this one too.

Those things dont work at all. I've tried them before, and it seems to register lower after a few drinks. It has to many rules that a drunk person isn't going to follow. Blow just hard enough, don't use it until 15 mins after your drink, ect.

Which one did you use? The model I pictured or some other? Was it in a bar? I imagine they are not all created equal, and some in the field may be like a routed pinball machine...worn out.

There's a problem with the machine you used. Mine used to register lower as time wore on, but after some work, I'm thinking I had a cracked solder joint. I reflowed to solder to a lot of areas and now it holds solid. As time goes on, the number goes up and not down anymore.

They work. Probably not accurate enough to trust your license to, but still fun for a gathering.

As for the rules, all breathalzyers are like that. When a cop pulls someone over, it's usually a bit after their last drink. If you take a drink and then do the breathalyzer, it will register higher because of the alcohol in the mouth. Ten minutes, which most say to wait, is enough for the alcohol to be washed out of the mouth from saliva. Trust me... I tested it. Lol! To test mine, I took a shot of whiskey and immediately checked it. I blew around a .3. I waited 10 minutes, blew again, and it registered a LOT lower.

They do work when used properly.

Yeh it got me arrested once. What a piece of shit.

I can't believe in the day of the interwebs I can't find a manual for this Alcohol Alert machine.
What do you think one of these new should cost. I just don't think I have much confidence in something like this without a manual or schematics as far as repairs go down the road. Originally I was thinking $200 but now I'm leaning towards $100. I think these originally went for over $1,000 but without any way to repair...

I have one I believe it is sitting inside the machine. Fun at Partys as long as I have a cup of quarters next to it. I thought there was a pdf on the manufactures web site.
