So I see there is a coin op auction next week in St Louis. some place called super auctions. I guess they have them all over.

Anyone know if this is a good place to go or a waste of time'?

Looking of course for good deals.

I thought Super auctions went out of Business? Where did you see this listing?

Didn't Super Auctions steal a bunch of peoples money and then declare bankruptcy or something only to reappear shortly after?

Last time I went they had a lot of video games etc. There were about 6 pins. NBA FB, T3, Rescue, a couple more and some parts machines. I left before the auction started. The NBA was the best in the bunch. Not to say that this won't be the auction to end all auctions, but that was my experience. Most of the games were pretty rough and would need some work. I might go just to check it out, but my expectations are not too high for this one unless things have changed. Remember you could also be bidding against the owner at these auctions. Just a word of caution.

Super Auctions used to run some cool auctions but due to economy, life, internal squabbling, or whatever, ended up shilling and screwing many over about a year ago. There's a thread or two on the subject floating around here.

Also reports from the last two done here were not that promising.

Despite all that, I'm planning on showing up. I haven't been to an arcade auction in two years and I'm interested in hanging out with/meeting my local KLOV'ers.

Its at the Machinists Hall off of St. Charles Rock Road. Pretty easy to find. I will be there as well. I'm going more or less to see what's there, bs with people, people watch, and most likely not buy a thing. Don't get paid til Friday the 23rd :(

Just got back from the auction. Half dozen pins or so.

Star Wars DE
Jurassic Park Lost World
Phantom of the Opera
Fastbreak
Nascar
South Park

Couple of older machines. Some seemed in okay condition. Own some of these already, so I left before the auction started. Don't know prices, but there were a lot of people there. Lots of interest in the pins (people waiting to play them).

Just left. Pretty weak although everything was rare according to the auctioneer. Got to hang out with a bunch of Klovers. Can't wait for caldwert to post pics of his new friend.

I think between 900-1800ish for the SS pins. There was a South Park, Star Wars, Phantom of the Opera, Lost World, NBA Hang Time, & NASCAR. Nothing over 2k (if I remember right). There were 2 or 3 EMs and they went for under $400
