I am very eagerly awaiting a coin mech that's coming in the mail for my wife's Coke machine that I got for her over the Winter. She too is really psyched. Let's hope I don't end up with the one non-working, or I mean uh, meh, "untested" unit that he had.

It's already been confirmed that when the thing is up and running, one of the choices in it will be....... Coors Light. :D

And you expect people to pay money for that??? :D Did you ever try to hook up the freeplay switch?

I mentioned before that I am not good at making those kinds of switches, and for the money that the "premade" switch cost, I got the actual authentic coin mech for the same price.

Plus it's going to be set to quarters and I provide the quarters! :D

Coin mech came, I hooked it up, and the coins are dropping right through and no vending taking place. It just came yesterday so I'm going to wash the coin mech and also check how the switches are set in the back.

It just blows because I now am still in a holding pattern with the soda machine, my Ms Pac #2 won't play with a new tube and monitor in it, and then you have my Omega Race which is like the f*ing riddle of the sphinx.. Maybe I need to go back to collecting action figures.

eh hang in there brothah.. i know the feeling. If its not one thing its 5 things :D

Thanks CM, I don't like to get in over my head on projects, and thought the soda machine would be an easy one. That's what I get for thinking, as my father would say LOL

Well I washed out the coin mech last night, and after sitting in the soapy water for only about a minute, the water looked like I'd just used it to scrub down a tractor trailer. Hopefully that will help bring it back to life.

I am also going to check the jumpers on the back of the main body of the coin mech tonight to see what it's set for currently, or if someone's been in there boogin' around.
