In my Berzerk machine, the coin light bulbs keep dying early. Why?

I will admit I've used either 44 or 47 bulbs in them (the pinball size) I think, so if they are the wrong size maybe that's my problem. But I've done the same type of swap in other games and haven't had the burnout frequency that I have with Berzerk. Is there a ground strap or something that maybe should be on the door and isn't to make this happen?

It's just odd.
