Is there a pinball coin door that has the mechs close to the door? Not sticking out but hugging close to the door.

I have a project that I would like to do and I need a door that has the mechs real close to the door.

I know someone out there has an answer

not on any pinball machine that I am aware of

I think I've seen it but have no idea what machine it was, probably some vintage arcade / bingo machine, but nothing you'd be able to buy new nowadays..

just saw a post for someone selling a skee ball machine and the pictures look like the coin mech is not set up the same as a pin. Not sure if it is "smaller" in profile or not, but might be worth looking into.

Maybe try searching the other forum areas. Some video arcades have some strange shaped coin doors but I don't know if the mechanisms are more shallow. I really don't know much about any games other than pins and they are pretty standard when it comes to coin doors so I can't be much help.

I believe they want a coin door with coin mechs that don't stick out on the INSIDE of the cabinet.

Not sure of a pinball coin door but you might be able to use a Midway coin door from a pac/ms pac/galaga or early 80's cabinet. I have this one on my baby pac. The coin mechs are parallel to the door as shown (not my pic):

What gutz said; Midway coin doors are easy to find, and would meet your needs if you just need "some" kind of coin door.

Atari pinball coin doors would work as well, but they're a lot less common, and likely harder to find..

Like the other folks said....

Old Midway doors from Galaga, Ms Pac, Pacman, etc would foot the bill

As would the really old Atari "Owl Eye" doors.

Both are very low profile internally.

You guys are great.

I am going with a midway coin door. That should do it for what I want to do
