Hello:

I am unsure if this is the proper place to post this but here it goes.

I have a MAME cabinet. Yes MAME sorry. It has a coin door. I was wondering if there are any recommended sites out there that might tell me more about the operation of this door. For instance I have no idea what all the things do. I see these white things but have no idea what they do or how they work.

Here are a few photos of the door https://postimg.org/gallery/1nhbjaodo/

Thank you so much!

Coin doors aren't really magic. They have coin slots, bulbs to light the price windows, the coin mechs, coin switches, and (possibly) service switches.

Now, though, that one coin mech isn't going to do you any good upside down like that. :D
That's also an older door with a lockout coil - those are best left untouched, or removed.

You have a Coin Acceptors Inc (a.k.a. "CoinCo ) brand coin door (model 2802) with Coin Controls (a.k.a. Wells-Gardner) coin acceptors installed.

Here is the coin door manual:

Also, the black colored Wells-Gardner coin acceptor has been installed upside down. You will find that Coin Controls/Wells-Gardner coin acceptors do NOT work or fit very well in a Coin Acceptors brand coin door. That is the reason those white coin lockout coils have been bent out of the way. They don't line up with Coin Controls/Wells-Gardner coin acceptors.
