Here's the story - I go to pick up my latest batch of cabs from DPT. First Uhaul doesnt have the trailer I need, so I have to set for a smaller one and grab the tarp (its raining) for anything that needs to go in the truck bed.
After almost an hour getting everything to fit, I am on my way. I've got my wife and kids wife me, so I just want to get home asap and we head out.
About 1/2 way home my tarp breaks loose. Ive got it ratchet-strapped in, so even though it is blowing in the wind, I keep going. Pretty soon I get a guy trying to flag me down to pull over. I am about 10 minutes from a gas station break anyway and just blow it off as him talking about the tarp flapping in the wind.
Once at the gas station I re-secure the tarp and get ready to go when my wife says "Well I figured out why the guy was flagging you down... The trailer is open...
To my utter HORROR, the trailer door is in fact, all the way open and my 2 galaga cabs are almost hanging out. But even more troubling is the fact that there was a cocktail in the trailer when I left - it is GONE.
So I call DPTwiz and explain the situation. He assures me I had closed the door when I left but I ask him to look around anyway. Saturday night and Sunday come and go - the cocktail is gone.
Or so I thought. DPTwiz send me an email and voice mail tell me his step father spotted the cocktail in the center medium on the major highway along the route. I immediately hop in my call and drive the 50 minutes to where it was spotted, expecting full well that it is either gone or utter destroyed.
I'll let the pictures say the rest.
