Hello all. I just have a quick question

I have bought a vending route. I have drink and snack machines. I just am starting to have little problems and I dont have much knowledge on repairing/fixing them..

I have a can coca-cola drink machine at a landscaping companies garage. It is a large building. Probly a 50' x 70'. It is rather dusty in there. I went to restock yesterday and the owner said that the machine had taken 3-4 dollars in the last 3 weeks. He said one guy put in a dollar and it did nothing. No change, no credit on the machine or anything. I told him I would have it looked at. Could it be that when it gets to the last couple drinks in the row that it might vend a blank spot. Cause sometimes I see that it only has one drink in the lower chamber, instead of it usually having two.(If you know what im referring to.Im new to this, so sorry for the terminology.lol). I am contracted through coca-cola so they will come look at it and repair-fix or whatnot. I just dont want them to say "we cant find anything wrong. We will just get you a new machine placed in a week or two"

I dont want to make it a big deal if its not one. I also dont want to inconvenience the owner of the business. Its a slow stop but he is a very nice guy.

I gave him back 2 dollars a month ago and gave him back 3 dollars yesterday. Should I see if the problem goes away?

Sorry to ask something so insignificant. I am just trying to learn as much as possible.

Thanks for your time and help!!

-Mike

ok were to start , i have been in the vending biz for 15 years so i know a little. 1st thing you need to do is learn everything about your machines , giving back a few bucks at a stop is always going to happen, getting to your ? when the machine sales out it has a little flap in the column that springs forward when the cans sell down to were its at , so in most machines you will always have 2-4 cans left in the bottom of the column, ok now onto the repair side of things until you learn about the machines you are not going to be able to get the big accounts like machine shops things that are open 24/7 , if you get a call that your machine is broke at 2am you have to be able to fix it then not in 2 or 3 days when the coke repair man shows up , its a graet biz but you have to be willing to put in the time as you grow, i have been on call 24/7 for 15 years, when they call im there at least in a few hours, any more ? , Ron
