I got this old Coke crate from Phet at his party this past saturday. It fits right in perfectly with my theme. I suppose the military left some Coke there for weary travelers that may have used the emergency line; problem is they drank it all 45 years ago, and the military never replenished the crate! I love making this stuff up as I go....

I also finished the lower backdrop(flyers), so now the whole back of the booth is complete. The "burned" look on each flyer is to simulate shrapnel and fallout from a B-29/UFO battle that the booth was unfortunately too close to at some point in time.

Last 2 pictures: south side of booth and south utility pole are now connected via wire; and rubber insulators attached to that side of the booth to match the opposite side.

how did you do all the burn marks? just individually burning the papers and blowing them out at the right time?

I used my zippo and just burned them as I went; sometimes just to scorch and other times a nice hole thru the paper looked right. It was fun to sit down there and tear, burn, then staple all the flyers up.

Well, John was a Navy Man, and you know what they say about seamen. Glad you like the crate. It looks better there than it did in my gayrage.
