I was working on the CNC today and was inspired to make some Pacman cut outs to use as wall art. I've already done the same thing with Space Invaders, but I like how these turned out better. The pocketed eyes and pupils really give them some depth. I just had to share.

Wow, those look nice!
What I thin would make it even better if the eyes popped out, instead of being inset.
Not sure if it's just me or what, Pac's mouth looks a little big.

You shoukld now to the rest of the family. :)

It's possible to raise the eyes and inset the body, but the time on the CNC would increase quite a bit. It's a lot less surface area to carve down the eyes than the body. I'm using a small 1/8th inch bit to get those sharp corners, so you can imagine it would take awhile. I wish I had an auto tool changer.

I'm not sure I could sell them, I doubt I could be competitive with the people who are already doing a great job selling CNC stuff on these boards. My prices would likely be too high. I'm guessing somewhere around $50 for 4 ghosts, a Pac, and a fruit.

KLOV seems to have shrunk the original image quite a bit. Here is a another link to the same picture: http://yfrog.com/mgckdesj They're a little bigger than 5" x 5" pieces of 1/2" baltic birch. I'm thinking of thinning acrylic paint and lightly brushing the color on so the grain shows through. These will look great on my stair wall going down to the gameroom.

Those look great.. I wouldn't mind a set either;) if you do decide to sell, let us know-- I'd be in for it!
