I own a revolution x 3 gun machine and am getting a cmos u49 error
I have replaced the battery and was told coin door had to be opened when turning the system on. it worked, the machine sat dormant for three weeks and now it has the same error and leaving the change door open on boot does not work i cannot calibrate the guns, any suggestions before i have to plunk down some big bucks for a repair guy?

Check the board and see if the CMOS chip is socketed. If it is, contact one of the chip sellers and get a replacement and swap it in. If it is not socketed and you know how to solder, remove it. Solder in a socket and replace it.

Make sure you get a low power version of the SRAM chip or you'll go through batteries like crazy.

It's probably like a 5816 or something small like that.
