Club Nintendo Elite Status 2011

I answered my own question, just looked at the nintendo site and the new reward for platinum is an awesome pin set in special boxes that go together different ways like a puzzle that will reveal a charachter from the game. really neat. gold status is another calendar. :)

I think they kind of cheaped out this year :p Pins? Really?

Yeah, how is that a Platinum prize? Talk about a disappointment. Now I don't feel so bad about not reaching Platinum status. Club Nintendo must have gotten a huge budget cut.

Interesting. I qualified for Gold reward and accepted it. However, my confirmation email says I made an Elite status reward order. It will be a pleasant surprise if I get the lame buttons instead of the lame calendar. :D

its not gold and elite, its gold and platinum....

both are "elite" status.

I got my Gold reward in the mail today. I actually use last year's calendar on my work desk so this one will replace it. I think the picture selection is better this year. :)

I got the calendar last week sometime. It's riding around in my backpack now... I should really leave that on my desk

I got an email saying my super awesome platinum reward (PINS!!!) was shipped the other day.

I'd actually like those pins... but I'm just a Gold :(

I'm seriously thinking of getting the Mario shirt or the DK poster.

I made Platinum level the first year they did this and ended up with the plush Mario hat they were giving out. Also got the first G&W Collection.

Don't think I have even bought any Nintendo products in the last couple years though. Certainly not enough to garner a gold/platium status. I only made platinum the first year because they had a backlog of older games they were accepting codes for.

As for those who are short a few points I had that prob the first year as well. Went to the local GameCrazy with a pad and paper and just scratched down a few codes. Not surprisingly, all of them were unused.

I've never been to a GameCrazy because there are none around here... they actually have unshrinkwrapped games you can open and see the codes for?

If so, that's pretty awesome. :)

The ones around here would have the empty boxes for games on the shelves, many of which might have the booklets and stuff still in them. The games themselves are usually behind the counter.

I don't think there are any left here, either.

Used games, yes. And GameCrazy is out of biz now.

You could probably do the same shit at a GameStop if your local one doesn't strip all the manuals out of the cases. Unless they finally stopped stripping new games for the shelf.

The hell you say. Why would GS stop doing the single most infuriating thing a game store could do?

I thought all the stink what was raised a few years back prompted them to stop.

But, yeah, silly me.

So glad I don't collect console games anymore. No more showing up at GS after calling in advance to confirm they had a new copy only to find they have a "like new" gutted copy that the clerks have been taking home at night to play. Nobody seems to understand that when you collect the games are worth far less when opened.

Only problem is now that I want to sell most of my games I don't even have time to (and make enough money that it doesn't seem worthwhile anyways). Just... can't... win... :(
