Cliff Hanger, Pics included, whats it gonna bring

yeah- great job! ..but that DOES make it very difficult for the rest of us to go back to the early postings on this thread and brag about our accuracy!!! who's the winner?!?!? HEHEHEHEHE what is the trade value?! *sigh* ..you low ballers and and nay-sayers... hehehehe

I mean, we still didn't see it at a running auction. Whole point was to see what it would go for. Not with a reserve, not with a trade off ebay. Heck, I was the high bidder at the time, LOL....

Point is we never saw it ended. I've traded $200 games for $2000 games before and I still say at a running auction no reserve, this thing would go lower than an Addams. He had a $3200 BIN and that was not used. Addams runs $2500-3000 unless you are looking at retail prices but again, we never saw what it was "worth" and I can use the same analogy of me having something up with reserves and what not and getting more than I paid/what the item is worth.

No one is naysaying anything. This didn't establish anything at all, just depends on the person. Maybe the guy that bought Addams bought it for $1500 and he essentially buys this for $1500 at that rate, we just don't know an actual correct retail non reserve completed running auction again, and the last ones don't fetch as much.

Regardless, the seller is smart for taking that deal, what do you expect? That's a steal for the seller to get Addams for Cliff.

What does a decent TAF fetch nowadays? $3K?

thats what im thinking to, 3k.

Its a flexible range, those selling addams say its a 3.5k game in unshopped shape, those buying saying 2.5k

To me, it doesnt matter since this one is going into the line up of pins that i have, which is now at 18. I had a addams before and sold it, and anytime i tell the kids i got a new pin, they always ask if its and addams family, so now i get to say yes

well said! however, let's not ignore the fact that right this second there are 9 adams family pins on ebay alone! and i know a number of places here in town selling them independantly. ZERO CLIFF HANGERS! and thats the norm...

i planned on letting the auction run its course, but since the kids wanted an addams, i had to take the deal. Which in all honesty, there was very little that i was willing to trade for to make a deal, it was going to take a pin for my personal collection for any kind of trade..

As for the Buy it now price. I think that it was highly possible, but with ending the auction so early, i dont think that it had the views for the BIN to be used, had the auction went throught the weekend and the BIN not used, then i would say that 3200 is far fetched for the condition.

I think that it was a good even trade and both parties are very happy with the deal.

also, dreamtr, no offense personally, but you are the same person that offered me 600 for my timber, so i hold your valuation of games low compared to mine

There's zero Interstellars on ebay but I know it's not worth $3000. LOL

Addams is the most popular pinball ever, though....people want it, keeps value in that sense. But yes, buyer seller $2500-$3500 is about right on it but it doesn't mean he paid that so there could be many reasons behind trades. I got a Tron and 4 other games off a guy on the forum just because he wanted them out and wanted a Pac-Man, so it really depends.

Just like I need a Venture right now, but no one has one available, but it's not 3000 either. Only way to truly tell value is to ebay no reserve but with arcade machines you can't do that, hence the thread of "what this will go for" doesn't work for what was intended....all I recall on ebay was the $1200 one a little while ago with broken disc player...

MTRArcade: I never offered you $600 for Timber. IN fact, here is what I offered:

Your offer was declined when fulllinevending won the item Jan-22-11 18:59:16 PST
Seller's counteroffer: US $900.00
Your note to seller: --
You made an offer Jan-05-11 19:59:07 PST
Your offer price: US $720.00
Your note to seller: whoops, didn't see the $50 delivery charge
Your offer was retracted or canceled Jan-05-11 19:58:29 PST
Explanation: Entered wrong amount
You made an offer Jan-05-11 19:50:20 PST (this is supposed to be a 5 but it's making a happy face)
Your offer price: US $770.00
Your note to seller: --

Of course I did this with the intention of getting 2 games and I made a $400 or so offer on War Gods as well, but all I saw was this:

Member Id: gametimevault ( 4196Feedback score is 1000 to 4,999) US $450.00 Expired Jan-05-11 20:23:17 PST

I mean, I don't think $1170 for those two machines was out of line, I would have taken the $900 offer on Timber but I always need to get two games on shipping, but I never offered you $600 unless this is a completely different person in Illinois, but check the above, my first offer was 770 until I saw the pallet charge and went to 720.

last nice working cliffyi saw sell was for $3600.... not THAT long ago... price could bump slightly either way -slow economy or absence of viable candidates...
