I have a new Lady Bug game I am working on and there is a clear plastic sticker covering the sides and front... Im guessing it was for protection but havent seen it before.

Cab looks great under the clear plastic... but it has peeled in many places and began to bulge in certain areas. I haven't done much with cabinets before... any tricks to getting it all off? Hairdryer? My only concern with heat is I dont want to mess up the artwork on the cab. When I was cleaning all the nasty adhesive I could see some of the colored lines on the cab bleeding into the paper towel... not a whole lot though. I just dont want the lines to come up while peeling it off.

Any help would be great! Picture examples attached.

Bump for the Universal crowd because I have a similar issue with my Cosmic Avenger cab. I'm guessing that we have to live with it or start over with side overlays...

I had something similar on the front of my pac cab. It peeled right off with no problems, then I used a citrus based residue remover (goo gone I think) to clean it up. Looks factory fresh now.

If the plastic isn't coming off easily, try asking the Pinball crowd. They remove mylar from playfields using heatguns or freeze spray.

I ended up using a hair dryer to peel it off... looks a lot better now except for the paint on the cab being exposed now.... made the world of a difference!

The only problem I had and continue to work on is the sticky residue left behind... Ive been using my fingers to rub it off but it is taking forever. I am too nervous to use adhesive remover as I dont want to ruin the paint.

Thanks for the bump! I was struggling with this one
